Brouse Chiropractic

Chiropractic is one of the most amazing healthcare professions, but very few people understand what it's all about. We are here to help you gain a basic understanding of how our chiropractors at Brouse Chiropractic: Keith Clinic South and also our chiropractors at Brouse Chiropractic can help you and your family.

Chiropractic care is based off the concept of eliminating a misalignment of the spine. A properly aligned spine can help ease many different physical conditions including, but not limited to, muscle strains, pain in the neck or back, and even headaches or migraines. Chiropractors use a strategic and effective approach in repositioning a misaligned spine back to its correct shape in order to achieve lasting results.

X-Rays

Many healthcare providers employ the use of x-rays for diagnostic purposes, including chiropractors. They are useful in helping identify the source of a problem, its potential severity, and potentially guiding the course of treatment.

Chiropractic May Be The Answer

There are marshmallow like pads between your vertebrae called intervertebral discs. The discs are very tough, but can be damaged. The discs provide for movement in the spine. When discs start to degenerate the spine can become less mobile, and may even start to fuse together.

The discs also provide space between the vertebrae. This is important because nerves pass through the spaces that are created by the discs. Discs also act as a shock absorbers. When movement occurs, the jelly solution inside the disc has the ability to expand and compress. If the spine become misaligned, a disc can become buldged or herniated. In some cases it may even rupture. A misalignment is not the only cause for this problem. Age can cause the disc to become weak and dehydrated.

If you are struggling with back or neck pain, chiropractic care may be the best treatment option for you. Chiropractic is one of the least invasive and safest options for conditions of the spine and discs.

How Can Chiropractic Care in Charlotte Help You?

Most people are under the impression that chiropractic care is only for back pain. This is a common misconception as issues such as carpal tunnel, work injuries, auto injuries, and many others can be treated through a chiropractic-based approach.

The History of Chiropractic Care

Daniel David Palmer developed the methods of the modern-day chiropractic field. The first-ever chiropractic patient was a janitor who was partially deaf. Palmer completed a simple spinal adjustment and the janitor claimed his hearing was improved due to the treatment.

Palmer went on to open the first school for chiropractic within the next two years. Since 1895, chiropractic care has become one of the most effective non-invasive treatment options for patients living with a wide variety of issues. Spinal adjustments have been used to help people of all ages overcome the discomfort in their lives and allow them to get back to doing the activities they enjoy.
